Best Compression settings in 7-zip

First, Download and install 7-zip from here

Then, right-click the folder you want to compress, and select "Add to archieve"



Select Archive format as "7z"

Select Compression level as "Ultra"

Select Compression method as "LZMA" or "LZMA2" (I recommend LZMA, but both produces almost same result only)

Select Dictionary size as "64MB"

Select Word size as "64"

Select Solid Block size as "4GB"

Select Number of CPU threads as "2"

Select "OK" for compression.



Note: These are standard settings. If you have a very high-end/very fast computer with high configurations, use LZMA2 and increase the "Number of CPU threads" to achieve higher compression rates.
